PPE Portrait of Medical Student

In the beginning of Covid-19 there was a startling shortage of PPE in the medical field and this piece is meant to highlight that issue.

During the middle of quarantine I created a painting highlighting the problem in the medical field where hospitals did not have enough personal protective equipment for COVID-19. The crossed hands and painted on N95 mask is meant to show the need for more. Thanks to Jamila who was my model for the project as well as an amazing med student. I was really happy with how this conveyed the emotion of that moment in history.
